HEALTH BENEFITS AND USES OF "KAMIAS" OR CUCUMBER TREE


Have you ever seen this fruit called bilimbi? It is also known as Kamias in Philippines, Belimbing Asam in Malaya and Belimbing Wuluh in Indonesia. It is also popular in Thailand and Singapore, as it is used commonly in different dishes.

It is a sour fruit but rich of health benefits that is unknown to many. Bilimbi fruit is often used as a seasoning vegetables and herbal medicine in different parts of the world. It is grown mainly is most parts of Asia wth tropical climate.

Health Benefits And Uses Of Bilimbi or Kamias

1. High Blood Pressure
If you suffer from high blood pressure, bilimbi can help improve it. You need to prepare 3 pieces of bilimbi and 25 grams of finely crushed coral jasmine seed. Boil four cups of water in a pan and put the bilimbi and crushed seeds. Strain and chill the solution. Drink 1 cup everyday after breakfast.

2. Acne treatment
Bilimbi is also useful in treating acne. Just prepare and wash three leaves of bilimbi, grate and put a little salt. Put the mixture on the skin with acne. You need to apply two times a day.

Another solution is to prepare 6 pieces of bilimbi and 1/2 teaspoon of powdered sulfur, then mix with two tablespoons of lemon juice. Put the mixture and rub to your face with acne. DO this 2 - 3 times a day.

3. Diabetes treatment
If you have diabetes, prepare 6 pieces of bilimbi, wash thoroughly and crush. Boil the crushed bilimbi with 1 cup of water until the water is just half a cup. Strain and drink the solution 2 times a day.

4. Mumps treatment
If you have mumps, prepare a handful of bilimbi leaves and pound together with 3 cloves of garlic. Apply the mixture and compress on the part of the mumps.

5. Rheumatism
For your rheumatism, prepare 100 grams of bilimbi and mash until smooth, then add whiting. Rub the mixture on the affected part and alleviate the pain.

6. Sore
Prepare a handful of young leaves of bilimbi, 10 grains of cloves, and 15 peppercorns. Mill the ingredients finely and then add small amount of vinegar. Rub on the sore part of your body.

7. Skin fungus
For skin fungus, prepare 10 pieces of bilimbi and wash thoroughly. Ground it finely and add whiting and knead until smooth. Use the mixture on the affected skin two times daily.
