In our world today, thousands upon thousands of processed foods are being produced and sold to the consumers, Us. These processed food contain chemicals harmful to our body and health.
Our organs, especially the our digestive system, works to digest and ingest the food we take and convert them into essential nutrients needed by our body. On the other hand, if takes a lot of toll on our organs when we consume these processed foods more commonly known as junk foods.
One example is when we eat a salad we can ingest it in maximum of two hours, while a hamburger or fries takes up to three days inside our body and leaves residues that could not be digested properly.
But in this article we will focus on a processed food that is really harmful to our health, Carbonated Drinks or Soda.
We all know that colas are a very harmful product, they are very popular and widely known. Its composition is reported to be equivalent to thirty tablespoons of sugar per container. These drinks are produces a feeling of craving for more, and more means more of the sugar intake.
It is well known that too much sugar in our body can trigger most health problems such as: hypertension, obesity, heart failure, arthritis, artery blockages and more. Which when analyzing this list, it shows all these problems can cause death.
Upon consumption of any carbonated drink or sodas, the following effects can be experienced:
After 10 minutes: Your body would have ingested the daily sugar requirement you need. All other intake you will have for the day that includes sugar adds to the excess sugar that your body needs.
After 20 minutes: The liver works rigorously and converts the excess sugar into fat.
After 40 minutes: Glucose enters the blood, and in turn will increases your blood pressure and your pupils dilate.
At 45 minutes, your body begins to produce dopamine and your heart rate accelerates.
Taking into account all these effects, we can deduce that excess consumption we could cause cardiac arrest very easily.
